Sense puts a Bluetooth mesh radio and a 32-bit DSP inside every luminaire. The result is a self-organising lighting network that delivers measurable energy reduction, real-time occupancy data, and SCADA-grade integration — without the cost or disruption of legacy wired controls.

Microwave occupancy sensors and an embedded 32-bit DSP drive a peer-to-peer brightness gradient. Lamps set their own output using a pre-shared hierarchy — no central controller, no scheduler — so the lit zone moves with the occupant through the space.

The Human-Factor
Lamp System.

Every Sense fixture stores an identity code and a relationship form — a pre-set hierarchical map of every other lamp in the network. When a lamp detects a person below, it drives to a priority luminous value (100%) and broadcasts. Neighbouring lamps receive the broadcast and set a secondary luminous value against their relationship to the active lamp: first-close at 75%, second-close at 50%, third-close at 25%.

The result is a brightness gradient that travels with each occupant — full output where work is happening, calibrated dim around it, near-dark where it isn't needed. No central control system. No additional networking infrastructure. Adjustment by mesh broadcast, not by SCADA polling.
